Pole shifts occur with an interval of 41000 years, when the following conditions are fulfilled simultaneously: A. Earth's axis is at its maximum inclination of 24.5 degrees. B. Earth's orbit around the Sun is at least 1 percent more oval than average and Earth is closest to the Sun in June. C. Both Earth's and the Sun's magnetic fields are at a minimum. So-called "ice ages" are in reality nothing more than a pole point that establishes itself in a new place and cools down the environment until the poles again change position.
