Some members of the Messiah Bloodline and other prominent families of priestly Jewish origin in France began to use the phrase Rex Deus as a collective term for themselves in the 300s. Seven hundred years later, the representatives of these families unofficially founded the Sion Order along with Pierre the Hermit and Italian monks that had been initiated into the Rex Deus families' secrets. Even while he was a minor, Duke Godefroi 5 of Bouillon and Lorraine was given leading assignments in the new order, which from a place behind the scenes now began to work actively to launch a crusade that had the following objectives: "To liberate the Holy Land and put one of Jesus' rightful heirs on the throne in Jerusalem." Some of today's historians are trying to deny the Sion Order's existence, but its original charter, which still can be found in Orleans, proves that the order was formally established there in the early 1100s. There are, for example, two original documents (dated on 1 July 1116 and on 2 May 1125, respectively), which are signed by the Sion Order's prior Arnaldus. In parallel with the secret and mysterious Sion Order, Rex Deus also founded the Cistercian Order, a pious brotherhood of monks that would become The Star Families' Catholic alibi towards the outside world.
