John Boanerges was the main author of the apocalyptic work that has been named Revelation. Along with three others, he composed elements that seemingly are both bizarre and frightening to those that read the book. The Church has tried to portray Revelation as "a prophetic work that describes a future horror scenario", but this is completely wrong. The authors rather described events that had already happened or was about to happen when they wrote them down.
