Many things suggest that it was Jesus himself that took the initiative to write The Gospel of John and that he began this work just after the Crucifixion along with the Disciple Philip. A little later, John Mark joined the project, which eventually got his name and was launched as the earliest of the Biblical Gospels. Like most other New Testamental works, however, it has gone through many rounds of editing.
