Earth came into being when a planet, which, among other things, has been called "Nibiru", was drawn into our solar system. A planet that has been given the name Tiâmat was hit by Nibiru's moon Kingu and divided in two. One half of Tiâmat was crushed into lesser objects, while the other half was pushed from the current asteroid belt to an orbit closer to the Sun, where it now constitutes our own planet Earth. The Moon was caught in an orbit around the planet and because it had been created somewhere else in the universe at an earlier time, it is therefore much older than Earth.
