This infamous alien autopsy footage was tracked down to the film maker that made the final footage. It was all faked by amateurs first and then professionals later (as it was realised very big money was to be made) that just managed to keep their mouths shut until a few years ago.
To make money, Ray Santilli first faked some amateur footage. This led to an interest, but it was too fake. Realising there was interest, Santilli paid big money to professionals to make a proper researched and properly big budget faked autopsy footage that was good enough to fool professionals and the world.
