There are many indications that the ancient Egyptians did not cut out most of the stones for the Great Pyramid and the temples in either Aswan or other quarries; and that they did not transport them over long distances, but that they instead were cast as concrete on the construction sites by mixing more than twenty natural ingredients, including limestone and seashells, with water. Therefore, there was no use for either ramps or cradles for the positioning of the heavy blocks.
