This myth is almost comical, however, but when considering that there are quite a few people that believe this into late adulthood, it may not be so funny. Somehow, the myth started to circulate that the moon has a dark side. Peering at the sky and moon from earth while using a very imaginative and innocent mind, one could conclude how such a myth could be born. However, there is absolutely no truth to this. It has been scientifically proven that the moon actually rotates on its own axis. Therefore, there is no side of the mood that does not meet an angle of the sun and receive light. No dark side here, folks!
