One of the biggest Western propaganda myths is the invention of 72 virgins as a Muslim reward for suicide. Unfortunately, this has been repeated so often that most people accept it as fact.
When we look at the highest authority in Islam, the Koran, we find nothing in it endorsing rewards for suicide, however. Instead we find the strongest condemnation with severe punishments for those that commit suicide.
