Throughout a long life, I have discovered that some of what is professed from lecterns and pulpits doesn't hold water. Although presented as "truth", a great deal of the claims from teachers and religious leaders are nothing more than myths once we manage to scrape off the layers of gloss that they have been coated with. I have painstakingly tried to figure out what is more plausible and credible for each issue; and I have thus provided alternative explanations that make more sense to me. Central in this work has been my aim to see everything in a rational and logical light.
In this sub-board, I will therefore put forward 100 hypotheses that challenge the conventional view in many areas. Although none of my fellow forum users of course will agree with all these, I hope that we may have a civil and respectful debate about them, without my opponents finding the need to resort to degrading expressions and name-calling.
I have defined the years before year 1 with a negative sign (the year -89 should be read as "the year minus eighty-nine") instead of using the expressions "before Christ" (BC) and "anno Domini" (AD), which both are imprecise and also may offend some people.
