If a religion cannot adapt to today's modern society, where people no longer let themselves be oppressed and manipulated by religious authorities, it has in my eyes gone bankrupt and lost "the battle for people's souls". The strange thing is that neither Judaism, Christianity nor Islam initially discriminated against women, but all three religions have been "couped" by men that want to gag all attempts at equality between the genders, because they feel their position threatened by competent women that are well-qualified enough to outrank them.
