There is much to suggest that there exists a "labyrinth" of caves, corridors and rooms below the Temple Mount in Jerusalem; and that the Militia of Christ found this when they dug here in the period 1118–1128. But exactly what they found and what may still lie hidden inside the mount is difficult to predict with certainty. Somebody has performed such an extremely complicated effort to camouflage all the entrances to the secret tunnels that even now, several thousand years later, the artificial filling material cannot be separated from the natural stone in the surrounding bedrock.
